Job Description

As a Ships Equipment Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational integrity of our fleet. You'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing critical shipboard equipment ranging from engines to electrical systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance with safety regulations and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee the servicing and repair of propulsion and auxiliary systems.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for integrated solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments for on-going projects.
  • Engage in technical problem solving related to equipment failures.
  • Enhance existing procedures for equipment management.
  • Participate in auditing and quality control processes.
  • Review engineering changes and their potential impacts on operations.
  • Create and manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff on new systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master's degree in Marine Engineering is beneficial
Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years in a similar role aboard marine vessels
