Job Description

As a Sewer Separation Designer, you'll design and implement sewer separation systems aimed at mitigating overflow and enhancing stormwater management. Collaborate closely with engineers and contractors to ensure all designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field surveys to identify and address sewer system deficiencies.
  • Develop comprehensive design specifications for sewer systems.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration for effective project execution.
  • Execute hydraulic simulations to validate design predictions.
  • Support the construction team with technical guidance.
  • Ensure systems operate as intended after installation.
  • Craft presentations to update stakeholders on project developments.
  • Adhere to local and federal regulations throughout the design and construction processes.
  • Keep meticulous records of all project materials and correspondence.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or similar field
  • Master's degree in Hydrology or Environmental Engineering preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in sewer system design
