Job Description

The Heavy Civil Project Manager will supervise the planning, design, and execution of major civil engineering projects. This role requires exceptional project management skills, technical understanding of civil engineering principles, and experience in leading large multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in the execution of heavy civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage project plans, budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Engage regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise project reporting and documentation efforts.
  • Promote team development and secure necessary resources for project completion.
  • Direct and monitor on-site operations and workforce activities.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes throughout project life cycles.
  • Negotiate project contracts and resolve disputes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction management for heavy civil projects
