Job Description

As a Roller Machine Operator, you'll be pivotal in operating and maintaining roller machines used in various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Operate roller machines safely and effectively to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Engage in problem-solving to address any operational challenges during paving tasks.
• Keep accurate records of machine usage and maintenance activities.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure project timelines are met.
• Conduct final checks on finished surfaces for quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience operating roller machines preferably in a construction setting

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Preventative maintenance skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with asphalt and concrete paving: Hands-on knowledge of asphalt technology and concrete mixing techniques.
• Familiarity with survey equipment: Understanding of the tools used for site measurement and leveling.
