Job Description

The Rehabilitation Engineer will design, develop, and implement assistive technologies to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare professionals and clients to meet specific needs through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine individual assistive needs.
  • Innovate new assistive technologies based on user feedback and research.
  • Work alongside a team of engineers and health professionals in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training for assistive device users.
  • Document developments and share findings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current with trends in rehabilitation engineering and assistive devices.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and protocols.
  • Deliver presentations on the effectiveness of assistive technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in assistive technology development
Technical Skills
  • Biomedical Engineering Knowledge
