Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Grade Tamper who thrives in a hands-on role. You will ensure the track alignment's accuracy while operating heavy equipment, performing maintenance, and working closely with other construction professionals.

Responsibilities

• Use grade tamper to compact soil and prepare subgrade for paving.
• Communicate effectively with grading teams to coordinate workflow.
• Adhere to safety guidelines at all times while operating machinery.
• Perform inspections and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency.
• Follow detailed project plans and specifications for track adjustments.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in railway construction and heavy machinery operation.

Technical Skills

• Soil Compaction Techniques
• Safety Protocols

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of engineering drawings: Ability to read and interpret designs and grading plans.
