Marble-Chip Terrazzo Worker

Job Description

As a Marble-Chip Terrazzo Worker, you'll be responsible for laying, finishing, and restoring marble-chip terrazzo floors. We're looking for a detail-oriented individual who can manage both small residential jobs and large commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and determine material quantities.
• Install flooring according to design specifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure that installations meet industry standards.
• Implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal apprenticeship or vocational training in flooring installation is preferred

Experience

• Experience in working with different types of terrazzo finishes is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Time management
• Understanding of safety procedures

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Strong work ethic

Certifications

• Certification in floor safety practices is beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with tools like grinders and polishers: Understanding the use of various tools in terrazzo work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints: Experience in understanding layout and installation plans.
