Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee and enhance our procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will manage vendor relationships, negotiate prices, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality products. An emphasis on strategic planning and cost management is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the annual purchasing budget.
  • Track and optimize procurement metrics to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in developing long-term strategic purchasing plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities.
  • Ensure sustainability practices are integrated into procurement processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Assist in training for new purchasing staff on best practices.
  • Regularly engage in supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive purchasing experience
Technical Skills
  • Procurement Software
  • Negotiation Skills
Certifications
  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification: Knowledge of Lean principles to enhance efficiency in procurement.
  • Experience in foodservice or retail environments: Background in purchasing within high-volume food or retail operations.
