Job Description

We are in search of a Scrap Preparation Supervisor who will oversee the preparation of scrap metal for recycling. This leadership role involves managing a team of operators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of scrap preparation technicians.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of scrap processing equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies for waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure proper processing and sorting of incoming scrap materials.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Lead daily briefings to outline targets and safety reminders to the team.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend necessary upgrades.
  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability within the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in metal recycling or a related field
