Structural Metal Fabricator and Fitter

Job Description

As a Structural Metal Fabricator and Fitter, you will be responsible for the design, assembly, and installation of metal structures and components. Your expertise in welding and metalworking will play a crucial role in ensuring that these structures meet industry standards for safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow safety protocols while using machinery.
• Troubleshoot issues during fabrication and propose solutions.
• Ensure all materials are sourced sustainably and efficiently.
• Work with project managers to meet production deadlines.
• Train junior fabricators and fitters on best practices.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project milestones.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certificate in welding or metal fabrication

Experience

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery

Technical Skills

• Forklift Operation
• Sheet Metal Fabrication

Advantageous

• Experience operating forklifts and cranes: Knowledge and skills related to operating industrial lifting equipment.
• Familiarity with CAD software: Experience using CAD systems for design and fabrication planning.
