Oil and Gas Field Technician

Job Description

The Oil and Gas Field Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining essential equipment used in the exploration, drilling, and production of oil and gas. This role requires in-depth knowledge of safety procedures and robust technical skills in oil and gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with field engineers to improve operational efficiency.
• Train new technicians on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Document all maintenance activities and report on operational metrics.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in a related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in oil and gas field operations and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of oil and gas processes
• Equipment maintenance

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• OSHA Certification
• HAZMAT Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bachelor's degree in a related field: A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic fracturing techniques: Knowledge of hydraulic fracturing processes and techniques.
