As the Museum Security Chief, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our collections and visitors. You will manage a team of security professionals, develop security protocols, and collaborate with local law enforcement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the security team in daily operations and on special event security.
  • Evaluate and enhance current security measures based on latest industry practices.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for security personnel on emergency response and customer service.
  • Audit security processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.
  • Participate in the development of museum policies relating to security and safety.
  • Maintain relationships with external security consultants and vendors.
  • Prepare and manage the security department's budget effectively.
  • Report to upper management on security issues and recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to security.
  • Engage with the public to promote safety awareness and prevention strategies.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or Security Management
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • Security Management Expertise in managing security operations within cultural contexts.
  • Risk Assessment Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Emergency Planning Experienced in developing and executing emergency response protocols.
  • Effective Communication Exceptional communication skills for coordination with diverse teams.
  • Problem-Solving Skilled in solving complex problems systematically and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail Highly detail-oriented ensuring accuracy in all security operations.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Certification in risk management: Certification in risk management or safety standards is beneficial.
  • Experience in event security management: Experience managing security for high-profile events is advantageous.
