Marine Service Engineer

Job Description

The Marine Service Engineer plays a vital role in performing technical support, maintenance, and repair for marine equipment and systems. You will ensure the efficient operation of marine machinery, troubleshooting issues and minimizing downtime. Successful candidates will bring at least 3 years of experience in marine engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various marine equipment and systems.
• Maintain engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and navigation equipment.
• Document service activities, including work performed and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines during maintenance tasks.
• Monitor inventory and order repair parts as necessary.
• Engage in continuous learning to remain current in marine engineering practices.
• Support the training of junior staff and apprentices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

• 4+ years of significant experience in the marine field
