Job Description
As an Ophthalmic Surgical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing surgical procedures, ensuring patient care pre- and post-surgery, and facilitating a seamless workflow in our ophthalmic surgery department.
Responsibilities
Schedule surgeries and coordinate pre-operative and post-operative care.
Obtain necessary insurance authorizations for procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding surgical information.
Monitor patient progress and ensure timely follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
Perform other duties as needed to support the surgical team.
Requirements
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field is preferred.
Experience
3+ years of experience in surgical coordination and ophthalmology.
