Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to individuals facing mental health challenges, advocating for their rights and access to appropriate resources.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and interventions.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare providers.
  • Develop community outreach programs focused on mental health awareness.
  • Prepare reports on client outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Remain knowledgeable about local and national mental health legislation.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and interns.
  • Support clients in navigating insurance options for mental health services.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for mental health programs.
  • Network with community organizations to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health advocacy or related field.
