Job Description

The Turn Out Technician is crucial for maintaining and repairing turnouts (railroad switches) to ensure safe and efficient train operations. This role demands a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate turnout performance and implement fixes as necessary.
  • Assist in training new technicians on maintenance protocols.
  • Coordinate with logistics on parts and materials required for repairs.
  • Utilize technical schematics to guide repair work.
  • Uphold a clean and organized work site at all times.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in a mechanical field is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
