Job Description

As a Psychiatric Aide at Healthwise Community Services, you'll be instrumental in supporting patients with mental health challenges. Your role includes assisting healthcare teams in delivering high-quality care while ensuring that clients feel safe and supported.

Responsibilities

• Aid patients in accessing mental health resources and educational materials.
• Implement daily routines that promote stability and comfort for patients.
• Collaborate with nurses and psychiatrists in patient assessments.
• Document patient behavior and progress accurately and timely.
• Provide crisis intervention support as trained.
• Encourage patients in developing coping strategies and skills.
• Assist with medication management as guided by healthcare professionals.
• Support the maintenance of patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all patients.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Social Work or Psychology is a plus

Experience

• Experience working in a psychiatric or similar environment is advantageous.
