Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Medical Anthropologist to join our team. In this role, you will conduct research on the cultural and sociological aspects of health and healthcare. Your insights will help shape culturally sensitive interventions and improve healthcare practices.

Responsibilities

  • Drive ethnographic studies that illuminate healthcare complexities in diverse populations.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for health-related behavioral studies.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the needs of various cultural groups are met.
  • Review and contribute to academic literature in the field of medical anthropology.
  • Engage in projects researching the impact of cultural dynamics on healthcare access and quality.
  • Coordinate training programs that raise awareness on cultural sensitivities in patient care.
  • Consult on best practices to enhance cultural responsiveness in patient interactions.
  • Monitor and adapt strategies based on community feedback to improve health initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Medical Anthropology or related social science.
Experience
  • Experience conducting ethnographic research and public health studies.
