Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Philadelphia. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying prescriptions, educating patients about their medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care and a commitment to improving patient health.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and counsel patients thoroughly.
  • Lead pharmacy team in patient-care initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical care protocols.
  • Participate in continuous education for healthcare providers.
  • Manage inventory control and medication safety.
  • Support chronic disease management plans.
  • Evaluate patient health records for appropriate therapy.
  • Conduct patient education sessions on medication safety.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Promote health awareness and preventive care in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
  • Additional certifications in specialty areas are advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
