Job Description

As a Customs Broker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations while facilitating the smooth clearance of goods. Your expertise in logistics and customs procedures will help our clients navigate the complexities of international trade.

Responsibilities

• Track the status of shipments and resolve any discrepancies with customs authorities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customs officials to facilitate smooth operations.
• Keep updated with changes to customs regulations and ensure compliance.
• Provide training to junior staff on customs procedures and documentation.
• Assist in strategic planning to improve overall logistics efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Additional certifications in international trade compliance are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in customs brokerage

Technical Skills

• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
• Logistics Management Systems

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of international transportation modes: Knowledge of air, sea, and land transportation methods and documents.
