Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Art Preparator to assist in the precise installation and preservation of artworks. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail and strong knowledge of art handling practices. Experience in coordinating with curators and exhibition design teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed plans for art installation as directed by the Head Curator.
  • Respond swiftly to any incidents or safety concerns regarding displayed artworks.
  • Prepare and maintain tools and materials needed for installations.
  • Collaborate in the design of exhibition layouts to maximize visitor engagement.
  • Assist in creating engaging educational materials related to the exhibits.
  • Document installations through photography for internal records.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies or a related field
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in art galleries or museums.
