Job Description

As a Lapidarist at Jewelry Craftsmanship LLC, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw gemstones into stunning jewelry pieces. Your expertise in cutting, shaping, and polishing gemstones will be essential in bringing our designers' visions to life.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise gemstone cutting, shaping, and polishing using advanced techniques and tools.
• Inspect gemstones for flaws, cracks, or inclusions and take necessary measures to enhance quality.
• Collaborate with Master Jewelers to determine optimal cuts and styles for gemstones.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace for efficient workflow.
• Educate new team members on lapidary techniques and best practices.
• Conduct regular maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Keep abreast of new technology in gemstone processing and jewelry design.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in lapidary techniques or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lapidarist or in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Gemstone identification and grading

Certifications

• GIA Graduate Gemologist Certification
• Lapidary Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
