Responsibilities
Inspect and analyze core samples to determine their quality and properties.
Identify any defects or anomalies in the core samples.
Measure and record the dimensions, weight, and other characteristics of the core samples.
Prepare detailed reports documenting the findings and observations from the inspections.
Collaborate with geologists and other team members to interpret the data gathered from the core samples.
Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and tools used in the evaluation process.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during the inspection activities.
Conduct regular quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy and reliability of the inspection results.
Provide expert advice and recommendations regarding core sample quality and potential implications.
Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies related to core inspection processes.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
Professional certification in core inspection or a relevant field (preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in core sample inspection or a similar role.
