Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Records Specialist (RHIT) responsible for managing and safeguarding patient health records in accordance with healthcare regulations. The right candidate will ensure data accuracy and confidentiality while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and review patient health records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all health information is stored securely and can be retrieved easily.
  • Monitor trends in health record management and adapt practices accordingly.
  • Educate team members on the importance of data integrity and patient confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement in record-keeping.
  • Work closely with IT teams to optimize EHR system functionality.
  • Develop documentation policies that comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Engage in continuing education to stay current in health informatics.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in health information management or a related field.
Technical Skills
  • Medical Coding Systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT)
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems

Certifications
