Job Description

As an Insurance Commissioner, you will play a vital role in regulating the insurance landscape within Texas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with industry laws and standards, safeguarding consumer interests while promoting a fair marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enforce regulatory frameworks for the insurance market.

  • Foster public confidence in the insurance system through advocacy and communication.

  • Prepare legislative proposals to improve existing laws.
  • Advocate for consumer rights and industry best practices.
  • Manage a team of analysts and support staff for regulatory operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the insurance industry or regulatory role
