Job Description

As a Furniture Finisher, you will play a key role in repairing and finishing wooden furniture pieces to ensure they meet high standards of quality. Your responsibilities will include assessing damage, applying various fillers, and sanding surfaces to achieve a flawless finish. Excellent attention to detail and a passion for woodworking are essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate damaged wood furniture and determine appropriate repair techniques.
• Prepare surfaces by thoroughly cleaning and sanding.
• Apply wood fillers accurately to fix defects.
• Sand filled areas to achieve a smooth, consistent surface.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure repair meets standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects.
• Keep an inventory of materials and tools needed for repairs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2 years of experience in furniture finishing or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of wood types
• Proficiency in wood filling techniques

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of finishing techniques: Expertise in various wood stains and finishing methods is a plus.
