Job Description
As a Gunnery/Ordnance Officer, you will coordinate and manage the weapons systems of a military unit, ensuring proper maintenance and training. This role demands leadership skills and a sharp focus on operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
Oversee the integration of new weapon systems and ensure operational readiness.
Conduct training simulations for personnel to enhance operational skills.
Evaluate and upgrade existing weapons systems as needed.
Implement safety protocols to prevent incidents during training and operations.
Coordinate with other military branches for joint operational exercises.
Assist in developing tactical strategies for the effective use of weaponry.
Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Manage logistics related to ammunition and weapon systems.
Conduct after-action reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Liaise with civilian authorities on training exercises involving public safety.
