Surgical Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures within our state-of-the-art facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and supporting surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Setting up surgical instruments and medical equipment according to the specific requirements of each procedure.
• Assisting with patient positioning and prepping the surgical site.
• Maintaining and managing the flow of surgical instruments during operations.
• Documenting relevant patient information and surgical events.
• Participating in the training of new surgical staff as needed.
• Performing regular checks on stock levels of surgical supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Surgical Technician is strongly preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a surgical setting

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with medical equipment
• Surgical instrumentation proficiency

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Stress management

Advantageous

• Experience in a variety of surgical procedures: Prior experience with various surgical specialties is a bonus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy: Understanding of medical language and human anatomy for effective communication.
