Furnace Mechanic

Job Description

The Furnace Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial furnaces used across various industries. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. You will ensure the furnaces operate efficiently, adhering to safety regulations while collaborating with a team of skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on industrial furnaces.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools.
• Assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide input on safety equipment and procedural updates.
• Prepare reports on maintenance performance and project costs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the maintenance area.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trade school or equivalent training in HVAC or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in furnace maintenance and repair

Technical Skills

• Welding Skills
• PLC Programming

Certifications

• Forklift Safety Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
