Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Digester Operator to manage the process of converting wood chips into pulp at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production meetings to discuss schedules and goals.
  • Monitor assembly line performance and report on productivity metrics.
  • Assist team members with complex assembly tasks as needed.
  • Enforce company policies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities and labor costs.
  • Coordinate material supply and inventory management.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a positive team environment.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control processes and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in machine assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Soft Skills
