Join our manufacturing team as a Bar Welder, where you will utilize various welding techniques to fabricate metal components. Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate welding machines for various metal types.
Prepare metal parts for welding by removing rust and grease.
Adjust welding machines according to the type of metal and thickness.
Weld different metals together, including stainless steel and aluminum.
Perform regular maintenance on welding tools and machines.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Assist in training and mentoring new welding staff.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
Participate in safety drills and training programs.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a welding program or apprenticeship
Certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS certification)
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
