Job Description

As a Pet Caretaker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, and more. Your role will involve not only feeding and exercising pets but also ensuring they are safe and happy while their owners are away.

Responsibilities

• Feeding and ensuring pets have clean water at all times.
• Taking dogs for regular walks and exercise activities.
• Cleaning up after pets and maintaining a safe environment.
• Grooming pets and conducting basic health checks.
• Administering prescribed medication and treatments.
• Providing attention and playtime to keep pets engaged.
• Informing pet owners about any concerns with their pets.
• Assisting with training routines.
• Ensuring the safety of pets during all activities.
• Keeping accurate records of pet care routines.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certification in pet care or related field is beneficial

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of pet grooming
• Familiarity with pet care software

Soft Skills

• Strong organizational skills
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification
• Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Customer service experience: Proficient in providing service to pet owners and addressing their concerns.
• Ability to travel to different client locations: Access to reliable transportation to attend to pets in various locations.
