Job Description

As a Nuclear Monitoring Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and dispensing of radioactive materials, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed meticulously. Your expertise will contribute to critical research projects, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance in radiochemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the preparation of research proposals involving radioactive materials.
  • Monitor environmental conditions to ensure safe operating limits are maintained.
  • Educate and train lab personnel on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and facilitate safety meetings.
  • Work alongside other technicians to innovate and improve safety measures.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies during safety inspections.
  • Engage in research projects to develop safer handling techniques for radioactive materials.
  • Evaluate safety equipment and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Support grant applications by providing detailed technical support and compliance information.
