Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Forensic Science Technician to assist in crime scene investigations. You will gather and analyze evidence, collaborate with law enforcement, and maintain high standards of documentation and reporting in your work.
Responsibilities
Gather evidence from crime scenes and ensure proper documentation.
Process and analyze biological and physical evidence using advanced forensic methods.
Create comprehensive reports summarizing findings for law enforcement and judicial purposes.
Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders during investigations.
Identify potential leads based on evidence collected and analysis performed.
Maintain chain of custody for evidence to ensure integrity.
Testify in court regarding procedures and findings from investigations.
Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in forensic laboratory functions as needed.
Assist in the development of crime scene investigation protocols and procedures.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of new forensic science advancements.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, or related field
Completion of specialized CSI training programs
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in crime scene investigation
