Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Virginia Beach. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on drug interactions, and ensuring medication compliance. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy.
• Advise patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects.
• Work with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Document patient interactions and medication therapy recommendations.
• Implement safety measures to prevent medication errors.
• Conduct health screenings and provide immunizations as required.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
• Support pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Engage in community outreach and health education.
• Assist in developing pharmacy services and programs.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

Experience

• 1-3 years of pharmacy experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Medication therapy management
• Pharmaceutical compounding

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia
• Pharmacy Certification Board (BCPS) certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
