Recreational Therapist

Job Description

In the role of Recreational Therapist, you will design and implement therapeutic recreational programs tailored to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities or illnesses. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to enhance the overall wellness of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapeutic plans for patients.
• Implement and supervise recreational therapy sessions, making modifications as necessary.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on patient progress and care planning.
• Stay updated on developments in the field of recreational therapy and incorporate new techniques.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
• Certification as a Recreational Therapy Technician (CRTT) preferred

Experience

• Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
