Job Description

As a Sunday School Teaching Aide, you'll play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for children during Sunday school sessions. Collaborating with the Sunday School teacher, you will help ensure that every child feels safe, engaged, and motivated to learn about their faith. Your support in organizing activities, assisting in class preparations, and providing individual attention to students is crucial to their spiritual and educational journey.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sunday School teacher to develop lesson outlines.
• Facilitate small group discussions and activities during class time.
• Assist in organizing and preparing materials for special events.
• Monitor classroom behavior and ensure a positive atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance teaching strategies.
• Provide feedback to the lead teacher on student engagement and progress.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom.
• Attend professional development workshops as required.
• Engage actively with parents during events to build community relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Some college coursework in education or related field

Experience

• Experience in a classroom setting or volunteer work with children.
