Job Description

As an Embalmer at Compassionate Funeral Services, you will be responsible for preparing deceased individuals for viewing, burial, or cremation. This role requires strong attention to detail, empathy, and a compassionate approach to support grieving families during their time of need.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming procedures with a focus on dignity and respect for the deceased.
• Apply cosmetics and dress the deceased carefully to enhance their natural appearance.
• Assist in transporting the deceased and preparing them for viewings.
• Ensure compliance with local and state funeral service laws and regulations.
• Maintain workspaces, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Support families through the grieving process by providing compassionate communication.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current on best practices in embalming.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of an Embalming apprenticeship

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in the field of embalming

Technical Skills

• Physical Dexterity
• Embalming Techniques

Soft Skills

• Ability to Handle Emotional Situations
• Good Time Management Skills

Certifications

• Certified Embalmer

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with Cremation Procedures: Familiarity with the cremation process and regulations.
