Job Description

As a Music Therapist, you will use music as a therapeutic tool to help patients improve their emotional and mental health. Your expertise will assist individuals facing various emotional challenges, enabling them to express themselves and connect with their feelings in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct therapeutic assessments to understand clients' unique needs and preferences.
  • Facilitate music-based activities that enhance clients' emotional expression.
  • Collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals and measure progress.
  • Engage clients in various musical experiences to foster connection and healing.
  • Document therapy sessions and provide regular updates to the treatment team.
  • Lead community outreach programs to raise awareness about music therapy.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve therapy methodologies based on client feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field
  • Certification in Music Therapy (e.g., through AMTA) is preferred
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in music therapy or clinical setting
