Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols within our organization. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of safety guidelines, extensive experience in risk assessment, and the capability to implement effective safety policies and training programs. This role is crucial in fostering a safe workplace for our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement safety training programs tailored to different departments.
  • Regularly assess and improve safety practices based on employee feedback.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to integrate safety practices into employee onboarding.
  • Evaluate vendors and contractors for safety compliance prior to project initiation.
  • Develop a comprehensive emergency response plan and train staff on its execution.
  • Review and update safety policies to reflect any changes in regulations or best practices.
  • Conduct workplace safety orientation for new hires.
  • Monitor safety equipment and coordinate maintenance schedules.
  • Advise management on safety issues and suggest improvements.
  • Lead safety committee meetings to discuss performance and initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Master's degree in Safety Management is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in a safety leadership role
