Job Description

The Electronic News Gathering Camera Operator (ENG Camera Operator) will capture high-quality video footage for news broadcasts and other media platforms. You’ll operate professional video equipment, collaborate closely with news teams, and ensure timely content delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shoot preparation including equipment checks and setups.
• Communicate effectively with the production team to understand shooting needs.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Record live events and news stories with precision and professionalism.
• Collaborate with editors to ensure captured footage meets broadcast standards.
• Adapt to changing environments and adjust equipment as necessary.
• Work under tight deadlines to deliver quality content promptly.
• Engage in continuous learning about new filming techniques and technologies.
• Assist with the training of junior camera operators as needed.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new video projects.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in media or related field preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a camera operator in a news environment
