Job Description

As a Baggage Clerk, you will be at the forefront of passenger service, managing the efficient handling and processing of baggage. Your role is critical in ensuring the timely delivery of luggage and maintaining a smooth workflow at the airport.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the baggage handling system to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate with airline representatives to ensure timely baggage transfers.
  • Report any irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist passengers with inquiries related to their baggage.
  • Ensure that all safety measures are adhered to while handling luggage.
  • Track and document incidents of lost baggage and follow up.
  • Keep the baggage area clean and organized for optimal workflow.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience in customer service roles is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with baggage handling systems

Languages
  • English: Fluent
