Special Effects Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Special Effects Specialist to create and execute stunning visual effects that enhance our productions. The ideal candidate will work closely with directors and production teams to bring their creative visions to life, utilizing a range of techniques and technologies to produce jaw-dropping effects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement special effects plans based on project specifications.
• Conduct tests and experiments to improve special effects techniques and innovate new approaches.
• Assist with budgeting and cost estimation for special effects projects.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
• Support other departments in integrating visual effects into the overall production.
• Train and mentor junior staff in special effects techniques.
• Work under tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions to foster creativity.
• Analyze feedback from directors and producers and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Effects, Animation, Film Production, or similar field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in special effects for the entertainment industry.

Technical Skills

• 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max)
• Motion graphics software

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with green screen and chroma key compositing: Proficiency in utilizing green screens for advanced compositing work.
