Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marking Room Supervisor to manage the marking operations of our educational assessments. This role involves overseeing a team of marking staff, ensuring compliance with established standards, and enhancing the efficiency of marking processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of marking professionals to ensure timely and accurate grading.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to refine assessment methods.
  • Implement efficient marking workflows to enhance productivity.
  • Review and update marking standards based on feedback and best practices.
  • Coordinate with IT for the effective use of marking software.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for marking staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance of marking tools and resources.
  • Prepare performance reports and present them to upper management.
  • Act as a point of contact for resolving any issues related to marking.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Education or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in educational assessment and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
