Job Description

As a Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining turning machines for the production of metal and plastic parts. If you have a meticulous eye for detail and take pride in producing high-quality components, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise control over machine settings, ensuring the highest quality outputs.
• Regularly conduct inspections and measurements of produced parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during operation.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest manufacturing upgrades.
• Prepare reports on production performance and machine operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification in machining is preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Proficient in operating lathe and turning machines
• Knowledge of machining materials

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in metal and plastic machining: Proven track record of working with a variety of materials.
• Training in lean manufacturing principles: Knowledge of lean techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
