Job Description

The Tin Plater will be responsible for preparing, plating, and finishing metal components with a thin layer of tin. This process enhances their resistance to corrosion while also improving aesthetic appeal and facilitating soldering or brazing. This role requires keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and test electroplating equipment before initiating plating processes.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment following all safety guidelines.
  • Train and assist new team members in plating procedures.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot any technical issues with plating machinery.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss production improvements.
  • Document and report all significant production and equipment issues.
  • Perform touch-ups or rework on defective parts as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of plating materials and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
  • Assist in quality control inspections to ensure standards are met.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in hazardous waste management or OSHA compliance is a plus.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in metal finishing, electroplating, or similar fields.
Technical Skills
  • Chemical analysis knowledge
