Job Description

Join our team as an Electro-Mechanical and Mechatronics Technologist, where you'll leverage your technical skills to ensure instrumentation and electrical systems remain in optimal working condition through diligent inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections on instrumentation and electrical equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or issues effectively.
  • Create and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and standards rigorously.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize inspections effectively.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations for equipment improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors to enhance team capabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and maintenance strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Certification in Instrumentation and Electrical Inspection is desired
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preventive maintenance inspections for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry: Familiarity with manufacturing processes and standards can be an asset.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements: Understanding of industry regulations such as NEC and ISA is advantageous.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting: Hands-on experience with PLCs is a plus.
