Job Description

As a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech), you will be instrumental in performing diagnostic imaging examinations and producing high-quality images for diagnostic and treatment purposes. This role requires collaboration with physicians to enhance patient care and ensure safety throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, including obtaining medical histories and explaining procedures.
  • Assist in administering contrast agents when necessary.
  • Calibrate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Record and maintain patient records and imaging data.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current on advancements in CT technology.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensure by the state in which they practice
Experience
  • At least two years of experience as a radiologic technologist, with a minimum of one year working specifically with CT scanning.
