Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day feeding and care of livestock.
  • Coordinate with ranch manager for cattle-related tasks.
  • Implement best practices for herd health and safety.
  • Maintain ranch equipment in working order.
  • Assist in the training of junior ranch hands.
  • Engage in pasture management and rotational grazing practices.
  • Manage records related to cattle health and activity.
  • Participate in ranch safety meetings and training.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Build relationships within the ranch community.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma; additional agricultural training is a plus
Experience
  • Previous experience in cattle ranching or livestock management preferred
