Job Description

Join our team as a Summer Camp Instructor! You will be responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising various activities, ensuring a fun and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Lead various recreational and educational activities for campers
  • Monitor camper behavior and ensure guidelines are followed
  • Facilitate team-building exercises and promote inclusivity
  • Work collaboratively with other camp staff to enhance the camp experience
  • Report any safety issues or concerns to the Camp Director
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding camper progress and safety

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting
Technical Skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team collaboration
Certifications
  • Lifeguarding certification (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in leading group activities: Proven track record of organizing and leading group events or educational workshops.
  • Specialized skills in sports, arts, or music: Skills in specific areas that can enrich the campers' experience such as conducting art or music classes.
